Everyone here at Dean Michaels Studio is happy to be back in business after the hurricane this week, although our thoughts are with everyone still affected by the power outages – especially our friends, family, couples and coworkers down the Shore (hence the Shore themed photos below)! It’s going to be shortened recap this week, but a recap nonetheless!

Congratulations to all of our couples today and this weekend who are tying the knot: Kristen & Vincent, and Patrizia & Bill! We’re glad the power has cooperated for both of you, and that you ended up dodging the storm

Although we started off the week with notices regarding power outages at both of our Madison and Wayne studio locations, everyone at Dean Michaels Studio was happy to open our doors up in Madison again yesterday morning. We started off our shortened week by posting some really amazing shots from past weddings at Nanina’s in the Park in Belleville, NJ (blog, blog gallery, Facebook album), and then posted the link from our friends over at WeddingThingz.com, who were gracious enough to post some lovely shots from Stephanie and Michael’s Philadelphia wedding day from June this year (blog, WeddingThingz gallery). We also extended the voting for Round 5 of our Best of Weddings Competition, with the winner of the round being announced this coming Tuesday, with voting for Round 6 started that day as planned. We also posted a lot of new photos to our Pinterest account, and are planning our Halloween themed week for next week to coincide with Governor Christie’s rescheduled New Jersey Halloween.

All in all, it should be a good weekend. Hope you’re all faring well, and we’ll see you next week!

With their New Jersey wedding ceremony and reception (at Saint Catherine’s Church in Mountain Lakes and the Westmount Country Club in Woodland Park, respectively) coming up at the end of next week, we just had to post Frank & Vicki’s absolutely adorable engagement shoot that was taken last summer down the shore in Belmar. Our NJ photographers not only got some really nice shots of the couple by the ocean and on the boardwalk, but they also got to capture some of the couple’s personality – and even got a shot of the bar where they met!
